I spent weeks refining a tropical fruit profile carefully layering mango apricot orange raspberry and a touch of banana. Every adjustment brought me closer to perfection.

As the Blue Roast base finally took shape I caught sight of the tropical blend in my periphery. It clicked—"Can Blue go tropical?" I think it does.

The notes of this blend are carried by a coconut-derived alcohol whose delicate creamy undertone gently supports the fruit without overwhelming it. With such a subtle fruity carrier I gravitated toward a lighter concentration allowing the fruit's vibrant character to take center stage.

In the Blue Roast series the oud serves as a soft grounding foundation. For those who crave a bolder oud presence I created a special edition with added Thai and Laotian ouds giving the blend a deeper more pronounced richness.

Blue tropics

The most beautiful summer scent I’ve laid my nose on.

Fruity Summery Oud

This beautiful compositions opens up with an array of fruits; coconut, bananas, apricot steal the show in the opening, creating a fruity medley. In the heart, blue lotus, fir balsam, and some fruity nuances work together to slowly transitions into a deep woody base. The Hindi and Cambodi ouds provide a grounding, earthy, and woody base. These ouds are inoffensive and work beautifully with the fruits to provide a well-rounded wearing experience.

Blue. . . or more yellow?

Blue Tropics gives me dry, powdery flowers and yellow fruits which isn't too sweet. It performs quite well for the first 2 hours and settles down around the 4 hour mark. I think I go nose blind if I smell it up close. It works well in an cool temperatures (around 27C). The blend is smooth and the Hindi oud is not offensive.

This is closer to 9ml than 8ml which is a plus!

A tropical delight

Blue Tropic opens up fruity, creamy and floral, with hints of coffee. I do not find it to be aquatic, well at least to my nose. Starts off sweet, but gets better and better as it dries down, as the ouds get more prominent.

Projection was good the first 2-3 hours. Long lasting definitely. It's been 12 hours and I can still smell it on skin despite rounds of hand washing and ablution. Sweeter than what I would usually wear but still a nice scent. I will wear outdoors on the weekends, perhaps on cooler days or nights. Well done Brother Maher, Allahumma barik.

This fragrance is outstanding, I would rank this right below Nectar Thai. I'm personally a huge fan of fruits so this fits the category perfectly. At first it's more a calm and pleasing fruit scent with blue lotus and ouds.
As the time passes the fruits dry down to a more potent, mature scent while still keeping the blue lotus and oud notes present. In all, it is a fantastic rich fruit scent that blends wonderfully with eachother and the oud. This perfume deserves a solid 9.5/10. Keep it up

Watermelon masterclass

When i first heard that Maher was releasing a Watermelon fragrance i thought 2 things;
(1) what a amazing idea for a Palestinian Perfumer to release something to support those who are being oppressed
(2) i was worried as perfumes that have a watermelon accord usually either smell too sweet or overly synthetic.

But as per usual i put my trust in Mahers craft and boy was i surprised. The opening is a photorealistic juicy watermelon, not just the meat of the watermelon but the skin and seeds too. It smells vibrant and refreshing and not synthetic at all. Soon after a feint dry tobacco starts to appear adding another layer to this work of art and making sure it doesn’t become to linear. The melody of Ouds most noticeably the Green, crisp, silky Malinau and the slightly sweet honeyed, melon like Hainan create a base that adds so much character and smoothness to this composition. Bateekh is not too airy or dense, not too sweet and fruity or too resinous. But it is a completely unique work of art that proves Maher keeps getting better with every blend.

A wonderful new Signature Scent.

I now own five Elkhaldi perfumes and this is going to be a favourite. It is very intense and complex and I love that about the Ouds that I have bought from this House. I’ve already worn Castore Rouge half a dozen times since I unwrapped it, and each time I’ve worn it in public spaces, I've had compliments from other people about it. I feel a $million when I wear it. Also, it projects amazingly so it carries everywhere I go. It's great.

Watermelon accord perfection

First off, I purchased the Bateekh with Malinau purely off convos with Maher. I have always loved the Malinau profile and never even thought of watermelon as a successful accord but I trust Maher’s nose entirely. On first spray I was blown away by the accuracy of this watermelon accord! Sweet but not cloying, fresh and juicy. Then the dry-down blew me away because it slowly worked its way down to the Malinau profile like a perfect match I had never imagined. Next thing you know the watermelon had morphed into beautiful Malinau woods that lasted on skin the whole day and on clothes for days!
