Journal Notes:
This civet attar comes from a single collector in the Gulf, and I'd say it's one of his most prized materials.
Why do I say materials? Isn't it an attar? Well, you can certainly treat it as one. But the way I see it, this attar is also a springboard for creating your own personal attar. I did exactly that: I added some aged Koh Kong oud to it, and wow. What was already a mind-blowingly smooth blend became an insanely good attar.
So what's in it, you may ask?
Vintage SQ civet, Mysore sandalwood, and saffron. That combination makes it versatile: a finished blend or a base, depending on how you want to use it.
The best part is the civet itself, which is very much like the one I offer as Civet Royale. Truly vintage, well-tamed, smooth, and simply royal.
The collector told me about his long journey of sampling and testing, and about being scammed by more than a few fraudsters in this trade, before he finally landed on this one. Naturally, I begged him to sell me some for a civet project I'm working on, and he graciously agreed.
If you want a civet attar that is measured, smooth, and easier to apply than Civet Royale, you'll thank yourself for getting this one.
