Journal Notes:

This blend was literally inspired by a Dukkan of spices (Aṭṭār عَطَّار)—tucked between other shops, yet impossible to miss, with its glorious display of herbs and spices.

The owner offered me a hot cup of a tea blend I couldn’t stop sniffing. I bought some, and day after day, brewed it, inhaled it, and wondered: Could I capture this scent in a perfume? It was floral, honeyed, earthy, and rosy—all at once. From there, I began building this composition.

Inhale this: dark, tobacco-woody Black Tea from India; roses in shades of white and pink—Turkish, Bulgarian, and Indian Rosa Alba; a delicate medley of Juhi, blossoms, and citrus, resting on a woody base of wild Indonesian ouds from Flores and Malinau and a wild Bengali Sylheti oud.

I am trying to keep blends available with some customization relevant to each. For this one, if you wanted a Saffron note added, along with more pronounced oud, go for the Zahraan add on. If you’d rather go for Oud only addition, try the Indonesian oud from Aceh. It’s floral profile is marvelous. Finally, if rosey tea is your preference, don’t miss the vintage Turkish rose. Make it your cup of tea!

You also have the option to bundle Dukkan with a 2.5gr of Zahraan (from the curated collection) with a bit of discount should you prefer to layer notes to your liking. All that said, I think the blend is beautiful the way it is, it’s perfectly floral, subtly tea.
